Today's CFL Player: David Boone

Originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings out of Eastern Michigan University, Boone played for the 1974 Super Bowl Champions. 

He moved onto the Canadian Football League, playing for the British Columbia Lions in 1975, and then the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1976), Edmonton Eskimos (1977-83), Toronto Argonauts (1984).

Boone played on 5 consecutive Grey Cup Champions at Edmonton (1978-82). He was a three time West All Star ('77, '79, '81) and a one time CFL All-Star (1981).

He died on March 19, 2005, at the age of 53.
