CFL Coaches: Eagle Keys

Eagle Keys was a head coach in the CFL for 16 seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos (1959-63), Saskatchewan Roughriders (1965-70), and BC Lions (1971-75). He had a career regular season record of 131-107-8  and was 12-12 in the playoffs. He coached four Grey Cup participants (1960, 1966, 1967, 196), winning the championship in 1966.

Prior to being a head coach, Keys played for 6 seasons with the Montreal Alouettes (1949-51), and Edmonton Eskimos (1952-54), playing for two Grey Cup champions (1949, 1954). He was an assistant coach for the Edmonton Eskimos (1955-58), and Saskatchewan Roughriders (1965-70) 

Keys was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

He died on December 20, 2012, at the age of 89.
