Willie "The Wisp" Fleming played in the Canadian Football League for the BC Lions (1959 to 1966), scoring the winning touchdown in the 1964 Grey Cup. He gained 6,125 yards rushing, 4,480 receiving yards, and scored 86 touchdowns during his 8-year career.

Fleming was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
