Player of the Day: Jerry "Bones" Keeling

Jerry "Bones" Keeling played in the Canadian Football League for 15 seasons with the Calary Stampeders (1961-72), Ottawa Rough Riders (1973-75), and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1975). He played defensive back and quarterback during his career and was an All-Canadian defensive back three times (1964, '65, & '67). 

Keeling played in four Grey Cups, including two Grey Cup Champions (1971, '73). After his playing career, he was an assistant coach for the Calgary Stampeders in 1982 and '83.

He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall in 1989, and the Stampeders Wall of Fame in 1990.

Keeling died on January 20, 2018, at the age of 78.
