Harry "Bud" Grant played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1953-56) and was their head coach for 10 seasons (1957-66). The Blue Bombers won four Grey Cups during his tenure as coach (1958, 1959, 1961, & 1962), and he was the CFL Coach of the Year in 1965.
He went on to coach the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League for 18 seasons (1967-83, '85), and led the Vikings to four Super Bowls.
Grant was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1983, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio in 1994.
