Today's CFL Player: Cookie Gilchrist

Prior to playing in the CFL, Gilchrist played for the Sarnia Imperials of the Ontario Rugby Football Union (1954),  Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen of the Ontario Rugby Football Union (1955), and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Interprovincial Rugby Football Union (1956-57). He played for the 1957 Grey Cup Champion Tiger-Cats (Hamilton defeated Winnipeg, 32-7).

Gilchrist played in the CFL for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1958), and the Toronto Argonauts (1959-61). 

He died on January 10, 2011, at the age of 75.
