Willie Bethea played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for 8 seasons (1963-70). He played on 3 Grey Cup Champions (1963, 1965, 1967). Bethea was named to the All-Eastern Division team as a running back in 1967.

He was inducted into the Tiger-Cats Wall of Honour in 2012.
