The Toronto Argonauts sign Joe "King" Krol. Although article says Royal Copeland agreed to play with the Argos in 1950, he ended up playing for the Calgary Stampeders. Known as the "Gold Dust Twins while playing together with the Argos, both Krol and Copeland are in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
