Player and Coach of the Day: Ken Carpenter

Ken Carpenter played 6 years for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1954-59), and was selected as an WIFU All-Star in 1955, 1956, and 1958. He was Saskatchewan's head coach in 1960, leading them to a 2-12-2 record. Carpenter was also an assistant coach for the Toronto Argonauts in 1963.

He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Roughrider Plaza of Honour in 1989.

Carpenter died on January 28, 2011, at the age of 84.
