He was an All-Western running back 6 times (1952, 1957-61) and received the Schenley Award for Most Outstanding Player in 1959. He played on 3 Grey Cup Champions (1954, '55, '56).
Bright was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1970, and the Edmonton Ekimos/Elks Wall of Honour in 1983.
He died on December 14, 1983, at the age of 53.
